NoEscape is a sports game with the most minimalist gameplay. Players will be brought into a closed rectangular space. You will face three solid walls at the top, bottom, and right. However, the real challenge lies in the fourth edge, the left edge of the screen. This place is completely open and has no protective physical barriers.
Inside this three-sided box is a uniquely oval-shaped football. It continuously moves and collides with the walls. It always tends to rush straight out through that wide-open fourth edge. Use your hands to block the ball from crossing this bare wall.
GAME SETTINGS
The player's only control tool is the computer mouse. The goalkeeper gloves on the screen will move up and down. It closely follows every movement of the mouse cursor. Whether your mouse moves fast or slow, the gloves will respond immediately.
The ball has an oval shape, so its bounce angle after hitting the walls will be very unpredictable. When the ball collides with the gloves, its rebound direction also depends on the point of contact. If the ball hits the center of the gloves, it will fly straight up. But if it hits the edge of the gloves, the ball will be deflected to the sides at a faster speed. This creates extremely tricky flight trajectories for subsequent saves.
Time-based difficulty progression feature
When starting out, the ball moves at a fairly slow speed. This helps players easily get familiar with the tempo and controls. However, later on, the speed of the ball will be pushed up dizzyingly high. Bounces from the walls become more rapid. This forces players to make saving decisions in a split second. This is when the game challenges your reflex limits.
How to prevent the ball
- Move the mouse up or down to control the gloves to move and successfully block the ball.
Tips in NoEscape
- Always try to catch the ball with the center part of the gloves.
- Avoid letting the ball touch the edges of the gloves as much as possible. The ball will deflect diagonally at extreme speed.
- Train your trajectory prediction ability instead of just staring at the ball.
- Execute short, decisive, and controlled mouse movements.
- Prepare mentally for unexpected direction changes and be ready to trigger your fastest reflexes.
